Canada · Written exam directory
Canadian fire services do not share one written exam. This table maps every department in our database to the exam family it is recorded as using, so you can prepare for the right format instead of a generic one.
Records marked unverified are departments whose written test we have not confirmed against a published source. We list them rather than omitting them — check their current posting directly.

The only authoritative source is the department's current job posting or HR page. This directory records what we were able to verify from published information in July 2026, and honestly marks the departments we have not verified.
Yes. Mathematical reasoning, reading comprehension, mechanical aptitude and human-relations judgement appear across the OFAI FACT, CPS, NFST, FireTEAM and BLA batteries, so general preparation transfers while you confirm the specific exam.
Because we could not confirm their written test against a published source. Many smaller, composite and volunteer departments run their own test or accept certificates from more than one provider, so we say so rather than guessing.
Firefighter Ready Canada is an independent preparation platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or licensed by OFAI, FPSI, ErgoMetrics, the National Testing Network, CPS HR Consulting, Firefighter Services of Ontario, BL Associates or any fire department. Exam names are used only to describe what we help you prepare for. Always confirm requirements against the department's current job posting.
