What the scoring key rewards
Situational judgement keys are built from subject-matter expert consensus. They reward safety, following the chain of command, communicating early, and protecting the public and the crew — in that order.
Answers that show independent improvisation, silent problem-solving or confrontation with a colleague almost always score below the consensus option.
A reliable reasoning sequence
Ask in order: is anyone unsafe, does someone need to be informed, what is my role in this scenario, and what is the smallest correct action I can take now. That sequence reproduces most keyed answers.
